DIWALI Spectacular 2019 !!!!
DIWALI FESTIVAL 2019, organized by Indian Culture Center at the Casinet d’Hostafrancs in Barcelona. The act began with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp by Mr. Madan Singh Bhandari, second ambassador of India in Spain, and Mr. Robert Masih Nahar, founder of ICC. Then the cultural event began, presented by Shreevats Venkateshwaran, giving way to the fascinating Bharatanatyam dance with Nritya Dhwani. After the dance, the music and the songs of Shreevats arrived at the stage of the casinet. Also members of different associations, collaborators in the event, actively participated in the celebration with songs by Shibi Maniyeri of the Association Malayalee Barcelona and Manju Group of Telugu Association. The youth of this last entity, the Jatish Ram Group, starred in a small theater sketch and the little ones made a Halloween parade. The energy and strength of the bhangra dance came from the hand of the Din Tak group and then the color and brightness with the girls from Dakini and Diwanis who spread their joy through Bollywood dance. Again classical dance appeared on stage, this time with the students of Leonor and Raquel – Bollywood with a wonderful show of Kathak Fusion. The Dancing Ganesh group put an end to the musical performances with a spectacular exhibition of Bollywood dance that raised the audience who did not hesitate to sing and dance with them. In closing, Mr. Madan Singh Bhandari addressed a few words of congratulations to the Indian Culture Center team, to the collaborating entities and especially to the artists who had participated in the event that made this Diwali a very special Diwali bringing together the families of India and Catalan families in an act of cultural diversity through different artistic disciplines.
