Inauguration of the YAMA photography exhibition, by photographer Paco G. Robles, at the Casa del Tibet in Barcelona. The event, organized by the Indian Culture Center and presented by Professor Kandarp Mehta, was attended by the director of the House of Tibet, His Holiness Thubten Wangchen, who dedicated a few words to those present, recalling the solidarity that unites Tibet with India. Next, Paco G. Robles explained the meaning of the exhibition that has united his two great passions, photography and spirituality. The 24 black and white photos that make up the exhibition have been taken mostly in the holy city of Varanasi (India) and bring us closer to the Hindu belief that whoever dies in the sacred city obtains “moksa”, the liberation of the cycle of reincarnations, and thus returns to the spiritual universe. The event, wich has had a large influx of public, continued with a Kathak dance performance by the Catalan Núria Cabo, a graduate of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti Conservatory of India. To finish, we were able to taste a pica pica offered by the Veg World Restaurant in Barcelona. The exhibition can be visited until June 29.
