On Tuesday, December 15, the gala of the 31st edition of the Ateneus Awards was held, which recognize creativity, originality, quality and the effort made by different cultural associations to promote culture and cultural associations. The awards ceremony took place at the Sant Joan Despí Cultural and Artistic Promotion, which this year celebrates its centenary.
The Indian Culture Center entity has been awarded the second prize in the category of Promotion of Participation, for the project: ‘The integration of women, children and young migrants in Barcelona’. This year has been a very difficult milestone to achieve, given that in this edition the participation record has been broken with more than 100 applications submitted, which gives added value to the fact of receiving this award. The president of the entity, Marta Marzal, was in charge of collecting the award.
Due to the health crisis situation, this edition of the Ateneus Awards, organized by the Federació d’Ateneus de Catalunya, has had an innovative format that has combined face-to-face, with a very small capacity, and streaming.
