The Catalan association “Amics de Mumbai”, with the collaboration of the Indian Culture Center, organized the conference for Ms. Mamatha Lala on last Thursday. Mamatha lala, an HIV doctor, who works as a medical advisor and pediatric HIV specialist in several charity hospitals and NGOs. Dr. Mamatha Lala presented her work at the Indian NGO “Commited Communities Development Trust” (CCDT), explaining the importance of medical treatment for HIV. In addition, she has also explained his recent scientific expedition in Antarctica as a physician and the challenges with which she found herself during the 6 months she was there.

The association “Amics de Mumbai” supports the work of the CCDT since 2003 Committed Communities Development Trust is a local Indian NGO founded by Sara de Mello in 1990, and struggled for the development of the most disadvantaged families in the city of Mumbai, promoting their own self-supporting development programs.
