Indian Culture Center celebrates Dandya Night & Dussehra with the collaboration of entities such as Gujarat Association Barcelona, ​​Barcelona Telegu Association Spain, Barcelona Tamizh Sangam, Malayalees Association in Barcelona, ​​Dancing Ganesh Association, Bhakti Naad Barcelona and Bollywood Movies in Spain. On Saturday afternoon, the event began with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp and offerings to Goddess Durga. Next, the members of the Catalan association Dancing Ganesh offered a performance inspired by the Dandya dance that gave way to the great night of the Garba and Dandya dances open to the public. On the second day, during the morning, the celebration of Dussehra took place. After the bid (offering to the Goddess), the stage of Casinet d’Hostafrancs was filled with magic with the music of Shree Venkateshwaran, the bharatanatyam dance of Nritya Dhwani and the performances of various members of Barcelona Telegu Association Spain. In the afternoon again the Garba and Dandya dance, which this time put an end to a spectacular event in which about 800 people participated. For two days the families of India living in Catalonia, together with the Catalan families, have been able to enjoy religious and cultural traditions of South India in Barcelona. Music, dance, theater, fashion show with the little ones and offerings to Goddess Durga in a weekend full of activities that have served both to unite the families of the different communities of South India, as well as these families with Catalan families.
