At the Indian Culture Center we have commemorated International Women’s Day by organizing an activity with the women of the Women’s Commission of the entity in which Nuria Hernández, Eixample Right Neighborhood Technician and Feminism and LGTBI Technician, participated; Gema Rama, Technician from the Sant Antoni neighborhood; Hamza Ali, Coordinator of the XEIX project; Gustavo Corral, Pilar Tudela and José Ángel Guzmán, members of the board of directors of the Dancing Ganesh Association and public interested in learning about the work they do in the association. The activity began with the screening of a short report on Int. Women’s Day, followed by an explanation of the different cultural and social activities carried out by the women’s commission, which gave rise to a talk on what dedicate in their daily life and what is the link that unites them to the entity. Finally, two books inspired by women have been commented on, Anna and the dance of chromosome 15, by the journalist José Ángel Guzmán, and Los mundos de Kaur, by Manu Kaur, a member of the ICC Women’s Commission. A hot tea and some typical Indian sweets put an end to a rainy afternoon full of shared experiences.
