Ratha Yatra 2022

Indian Culture Center participates in the celebration of the 29th edition of RATHA YATRA (Procession of the Chariots) organized by the Hare Krishna Temple ISKCON in the city of Barcelona. Ratha Yatra is a Hindu festival associated with the worship of Yagannātha (one of the manifestations of God Krishna), it is the most important festival in the city of Puri. The festival commemorates the journey of Krishna and his brothers Balabhadra and Subhadra to the Gundicha temple. Offerings to the Gods, a procession through the streets of central Barcelona, ​​devotional songs and a sample of Indian cuisine have been part of the celebrations after two years of inactivity caused by the pandemic.
