Republic Day of India 2026

On January 26, the Republic Day of India was celebrated at the INNSIDE Apolo Hotel in Barcelona, ​​organized by the Consulate General. This event commemorated the entry into force of the Constitution of India in 1950, marking the country’s transition to a sovereign republic.The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Government of the Generalitat, Barcelona City Council, Catalan Police, cultural entities and members of the Indian-Catalan diaspora. The celebration included musical and dance performances by youth from the Indian community, highlighting the rich culture and traditions of India.
