Last Saturday, a unique cultural spectacle was held in the auditorium of the Joan Pelegrí school, uniting the essence of India with the spirit of Spain. ‘Rhythm of India, Spirit of Spain’, an event framed within the India-Spain Dual Year, was presented by Professor Kandarp Mehta, who was a true master of ceremonies, making the audience feel connected and moved. The event was organized by the Indian Culture Centre Foundation, in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Barcelona.

Five groups of Spanish artists took to the stage to interpret the rich Indian culture through dance. Núria Cabo dazzled with her Kathak dance, while Güngur Arts transported us to distant India through Odissi dance. Daryã Dance presented an exciting fusion of Kathak and other styles, including flamenco, and Dakini Dance got us dancing with their energetic Bollywood dance. Dancing Ganesh closed the event with an explosive mix of Rajasthani and Bollywood dance.

At the close of the event, the Consul General of India, Mr. Inbasekar Sundaramurthi, and the founder of the India Culture Centre Foundation, Senator Mr. Robert Nasih Nahar, presented plaques of appreciation to all participating groups, recognizing their dedication and talent.
