Book Launch: “Hinduism in Perspective: Dialogue with the World’s Religions”. Last Thursday, the new book by Juan Carlos Ramchandani (Pandit Krishna Kripa Dasa), a Hindu priest and president of the Hindu Federation of Spain, was launched in Barcelona. Accompanied by his disciple, Shrivatsa Govinda Das, the event began with a brief prayer and a kirtan of mantras, creating an intimate and meditative atmosphere.
During his presentation, Ramchandani reviewed the book’s central themes: how Hinduism understands religious pluralism, points of convergence and divergence with Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Dharmic traditions, and practical examples of interreligious dialogue in contemporary Spain. He explained passages from key chapters and answered audience questions about spirituality, identity, and coexistence.
After his presentation, he signed copies for attendees and donated two copies to the Indian Culture Centre Foundation, which will add them to its library for outreach activities. The event concluded with an informal discussion, in which those present were able to delve deeper into the open and pluralistic perspective proposed by the author.
