The Ganesh Chaturthi festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Sagrat Cor Besòs school theater, organized by the Telegu Association of Barcelona in collaboration with the Indian Culture Centre Foundation. The event featured the distinguished presence of the Consul General of India in Barcelona, Mr. Inbasekar Sundaramurthi, and the president of the Indian Culture Centre Foundation, Mr. Robert Masih Nahar.

After the initial offering to Lord Ganesh, the theater was filled with music and dance thanks to the talented members of the Telegu community, who concluded the celebration with a delicious culinary showcase from southeastern India.

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu celebration that honors Lord Ganesha, the god of wisdom and prosperity. For 10 days, devotees worship and venerate Ganesha, offering flowers, fruits, and sweets in homes and temples. It is believed that Ganesha removes obstacles and brings good luck and success. The festival culminates with the immersion of the images of Ganesha in the sea or sacred rivers, symbolizing the farewell of the god until the next year.
