The Il Mondo art gallery exposses the collection of photographs La India Velada, the work of the Mallorcan photographer Joaquim Seguí. Organized by the Commission for Women of the Indian Culture Center, we have been able to enjoy a cultural afternoon admiring the precious photographs of Seguí, who with this selection of photos wants to give visibility to all the women trapped under their veils. During the visit, we have been able to talk with the author of the exhibition through the internet and an interesting talk has begun about social activism and the empowerment of Indian women. Joaquim Seguí’s wonderful photos are collected in the book of the same name, La India Velada, accompanied by a selection of poems and literary texts written in Spanish, Catalan and English.
