The Consulate General of India in Barcelona (CGI) joined in the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Day 2025, a day dedicated to commemorating the legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and recognizing the valuable contributions of the tribal communities of India.
The event was attended by Senator Robert Massih Nahar as guest of honour, who joined Consul General Inbasekar Sundaramurthi, community members and students to pay tribute to India’s tribal heroes. The day included video screenings and an interactive contest, which allowed attendees to delve deeper into the rich history and culture of tribal communities.
Janjatiya Gaurav Day is an opportunity to recognize the courage, heritage and indomitable spirit of India’s tribal heroes, who have played a pivotal role in the fight for freedom and justice. The event was a reminder of the importance of unity and solidarity between communities, and the need to work together to promote justice and equality.
